How to be Heard – Amanda Sokell – Parent Session

Parent Session, Weekend Session

How to be the best advocate for your DME child. When your child is struggling at school, it can be an isolating and bewildering experience.  This session will help you find the right path to support. Amanda will bust several myths which are commonly used to prevent access to an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and help parents to understand how they can access the right support for their child.  To participate fully a device running Kahoot! would be beneficial (though not essential) www.kahoot.com

Session Presenter

Amanda Sokell

Amanda Sokell

Amanda Sokell helps parents who are feeling isolated and alone and beginning to question their judgement. They often feel like an over-anxious parent, neurotic about their child’s progress, particularly when school doesn’t share their concerns. Amanda is a mentor who gives parents new ideas on how to approach their particular situation, giving them the strength they need, to do what is necessary for their child.  https://community.amandasokell.com
